Drea-ea-ea-eam, dream, dream, dream…

Jesper Blog

When I first decided on my dreams, I was scared of it.

If you didn’t know yet, my dream is to inspire a generation of dream chasers doing things they love to do, and writing a book was one of the goals to achieve that dream.

If I want to inspire a generation, and I mean millions of people, then the book has to be excellent.

But doubts started wriggling into my mind, and negative thoughts began to surface…

“Will I be able to do it?”

“What if nobody reads my book?”

“What if I’m not able to inspire anyone to start doing the things they love after they read my book?”

I kept having negative thoughts about how my book was going to fail.

So, I asked my wife what I should do? She said something that shook me.

“If you don’t believe in your dreams, why start?”

Wow. She’s right. If I don’t believe in my dream, then who’s going to believe it? Then, I finally understood the reason why I was so scared at that time.

My dreams are HUGE. They are HUMONGOUS. They are so big that they scare me.

Believe in the dream BEFORE it happens

No matter how fearful you are, don’t wait for fear to go away because it will never go away.

Even at midnight, fear will creep into your head and tell you that you’re going to fail.

Acknowledge the fear but don’t be paralyzed by it. Take small steps and work towards your goals.

Here are three ideas to help you start living the reality you are longing for:

1. Share It

Don’t be afraid to share your dreams. When your friends ask you about your dream, tell them you want to be the best chef ever.

When you affirm your dreams, it becomes rooted in your heart.

Before you want others to believe in you, you have to believe in yourself that your dreams can manifest into reality.

2. Zero Doubts

Don’t doubt your abilities.

If the Wright brothers doubted their abilities, we wouldn’t be able to fly today.

You need to believe in yourself and trust the gifts you’ve been given. When you believe in yourself, you become confident, and your skills grow.

3. Just Do It

Take the next step to making your dreams a reality. If you want to do a video cooking tutorial in a small kitchen with a smartphone, then do it!

Don’t give yourself excuses to not take action because you don’t have the equipment or the know-how. Use whatever tools you can and learn whatever skills you need and start taking action.

One small action is better than none.

Don’t be afraid of making mistakes because you’ll be making a ton of them before you can achieve your dreams. So start making them now.
